You do not need to shed tears for this onion tart! RUF Onion tart, made in the famous Alsatian style, takes away the onion slices, because the pack already contains the onion mixture. Add only milk, water and cooking oil and bake.
You need: For dough: 100ml water, 20ml cooking oil For the onion filling: 500ml milk (1.5% fat), if desired 100-200g diced ham For the working surface: some wheat flour
1. Preparing the filling: Add the onion mixture to a bowl. Add milk (and ham) and stir until a uniform mass is produced.
2. Prepare dough: blend the mixture, water and cooking oil in a mixing bowl. Mix with an electric hand mixer at the lowest speed and then knead at the highest speed for approx. 2 mins. Spread the dough into a ball on a lightly dusted working surface and allow to rest for about 5 minutes.
3. Baking: Cover a baking dish (ø 26 cm) with baking paper. Roll out the dough in the shape of a circle approximately 40mm larger than the dish, place it in the dish and press a 20m tall edge. Add the onion filling on the dough. Bake the onion tart in the preheated oven for 30 mins 220C, fan-forced 200C.
