Norwegian sour cream semolina porridge. An old time favourite – great for cold autumn and winter evenings. Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and let a little bit of butter melt in the middle.
1. Mix powder with 700ml of cold water and 300ml sour cream or light sour cream. Use a whisk.
2. Bring to boil while stirring and let the porridge simmer about 7 minutes
NB It is very important that you stir constantly until the porridge boils!
If you want a lighter porridge, replace 1 cup water with 1 cup buttermilk.
Serve with sugar, cinnamon and a lump of butter.
